Kid Number 005 – Shee Bo Yee

Bo Yee is a young girl with Pediatric Cerebral Palsy, has been unlike other children since she was a kid. Due to brain injury, she is unable to talk, eat herself, and walk to the toilet.

Bo Yee has a brother who is also a disabled child with down syndrome. According to Boo Yee’s mother, they are a single-parent family. The mother raises her 4 children alone and their life is very tough.

Mother has Heart Failure and is unable to take care Boo Yee Anymore

The mother has taken care of Bo Yee for 27 years since she was born, and now the mother is 60 years old. She was recently diagnosed with heart failure and could not carry anything more than 5 kg, hence, she had no choice but to send Bo Yee to the disabled center.

Previously, the mother sent Bo Yee to a disabled center located in Selayang. She found that Bo Yee was not getting well care, her body wasting away and sullen during the visit. The environment of the said center was poor.

The mother feels so sorry for Bo Yee and picks her back to take care of herself. As Bo Yee is paralyzed, her mother has to carry her up and down from the wheelchair, shower and change the diapers. Soon after, the mother became weaker and went for a full-body check-up. Unfortunately, the result shows the functionality of the heart was at left 30% and facing the danger of dying if continuing to overexert.

Due to her weak physical condition, the mother had to relook again the centers available. We have been chosen and entrusted to take care of Bo Yee. We are providing 4 meals daily and also purchase some supplements for our children to boost their immune system as well as immunity.

When the mother came to the center to visit Bo Yee, Bo Yee was very happy and welcomed her mother with a bright smile. The mother is gratified and happy when she saw Bo Yee living well here.

Bo Yee has a brother with down syndrome but can take care of himself. Hence, the mother does not send him to our center as she does not want to increase our burden.

Bo Yee is unable to take care of herself, we will feed Bo Yee 4 meals a day and she needs to change his diaper 4 times daily. To have a healthier Bo Yee, we will feed her vitamins and supplements.

SoServ Welfare Malaysia is a non-profit charitable organization with no fixed source of donations. Our monthly expenses are about RM25,038, we are relying on public donations for us to continue taking care of these unfortunate disabled children.
