When Kok Jong was 10 years old, he was playing with his friends at school. Unfortunately, he accidentally fell and knocked on his head which lead to his coma for 2 years.

After Kok Jong regained consciousness, he is diagnosed with learning and intellectual disability. Therefore, he could no longer able to study. He was a model student in school, however, he could no longer go to study due to a tragedy. It is so heart-breaking that lost a talented boy.

Kok Jong also developed obsessive-compulsive disorder after the accident, he is not allowed anyone to touch his clothes or any other stuff. He also not allowed anyone to sweep away the rice that fell on the floor but he will pick it up and eat it. Else, he will throw a fit.

Loss of judgment due to intellectual disability

Kok Jong is from Rawang and was taken care of by his parents after the accident. As he lost his judgment due to intellectual disability, he is unable to tell the right or wrong. He will always go to the restaurant nearby and take away the aluminum can while the customers are still dining, hence, he is always scolded by the customers and boss. His unintentional actions brought him to the police stations several times.

Besides that, many traffic accidents happened on Kok Jong where he was hit by cars when he crossed the road. The most serious one caused one of his legs unable to walk properly but limp along slowly, and his right eye was also defective due to the said accident.

His father passed away in 2008 and his mother is now 75 years old. She is incapable to take care of Kok Jong and entrusted SoServ Welfare Malaysia to take care of him.

We take them in and cultivate them

He likes to eat and whenever there are people bringing over the food, he has focused all his attention on the food. As Kok Jong has diabetes, we will need to control the food he will taking. He also learned to do the housework under our guidance, such as carrying the food and goods, sweeping the floor, wiping the table, and folding the clothes.

When he is eating, he will leave nothing on the plate and sucks his finger when people serve him the delicious food. He has met many new friends here and his best friend is Hao Hao, they will play together all the time and laugh loudly.
